According to the introduction of Liang Changxin, spokesperson of the National Energy Administration, the number of charging infrastructure in China has reached 5.2 million in 2022, a year-on-year increase of nearly 100%. Among them, the public charging infrastructure increased by about 650,000 units, and the total number reached 1.8 million; the private charging infrastructure increased by about 1.9 million units, and the total number exceeded 3.4 million units.

Charging infrastructure is an important guarantee to promote the development of the new energy vehicle industry, and it is of great significance to promote the clean and low-carbon transformation of the transportation field. China has made significant progress in continuous investment and construction in the low-carbon transformation of the transportation sector. Consumer enthusiasm for electric vehicles continues to rise.

The spokesperson also introduced that China's charging market is showing a trend of diversified development. At present, there are more than 3,000 companies operating charging piles in China. The charging volume of electric vehicles continues to grow, and the annual charging volume in 2022 has exceeded 40 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of more than 85%.
