What certifications will be involved when charging piles are exported to the North American market?

UL is the abbreviation of Underwriter Laboratories Inc. UL Safety Testing Institute is the most authoritative in the United States and the largest private institution engaged in safety testing and identification in the world. It is an independent, for-profit, professional organization that conducts experiments for public safety. It uses scientific testing methods to study and determine whether various materials, devices, products, equipment, buildings, etc. are harmful to life and property and the degree of harm; it determines, writes, and issues corresponding standards and helps reduce and prevent hazards to life. We will collect information on property damage and conduct fact-finding research at the same time. UL certification is a non-compulsory certification in the United States. It mainly tests and certifies product safety performance. Its certification scope does not include the EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) characteristics of the product.

ETL is the exclusive mark of Intertek, the world’s leading quality and safety services company with a history dating back to 1896. After the great American inventor Edison founded the Lamp Testing Bureau, he changed its name to “Electrical Testing Laboratories” in 1904, which became today’s ETL and enjoys a high reputation in the United States and around the world. Since its establishment more than a century ago, ETL has developed into a diversified laboratory and has been listed as a National Recognized Testing Laboratory by the U.S. Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Testing Laboratory-NRTL). At the same time, the Standards Council of Canada-SCC also recognizes ETL as an Accredited Certification Body and an Accredited Testing Organization, and recognizes it as an independent product safety certification organization in Canada (you can log on to the OSHA website http://www.osha.gov for more information).

As long as any electrical, mechanical or electromechanical product bears the ETL mark, it indicates that the product has met the minimum requirements of the generally recognized US and Canadian product safety standards. It has been tested by Intertek, the Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL), and complies with Relevant national standards; it also means that the production factory agrees to undergo strict regular inspections to ensure the consistency of product quality, which can be sold to the US and Canadian markets. What it means to distributors, retailers and consumers is that they are purchasing products that have been tested and certified by third parties.
